ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government has introduced a new pension scheme for federal government officials after the launch of the Defined Contribution Pension Fund Scheme 2024.
The guidelines for the Defined Contribution Pension Fund Scheme 2024 have been issued, and the scheme has come into operation.
As per directives, all ministries, divisions, and departments of the federal government have been told to introduce the new pension fund scheme and compile the list of employees covered by this scheme.
All federal ministries have been asked to update their employee data with the Accountant General Pakistan Revenues (AGPR) within 15 days.
Each ministry and division has been asked to assign one officer of Grade 17 or above as a focal person in regard to the new pension fund scheme.
These focal persons would oversee the implementation and coordinate with different departments in regard to the effective implementation of this new pension system.
The Human Resources Wing of the Ministry of Finance would take responsibility for implementing this scheme, and the Controller General of Accounts would be told to coordinate with AGPR for compilation of data.
Employee data would be compiled according to the ministry, division, department, and grade under the new scheme.
