KARACHI (Kashmir English): Important instructions have been issued regarding the acquisition of free SIM cards for eligible women under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
According to a spokesperson, eligible women should visit their nearest BISP office with their original National Identity Card and personal mobile phone to obtain the free Benazir SIM.
Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme, has also issued an important informational and awareness message for eligible women, instructing them to follow the prescribed procedure for obtaining the SIM.
The program administration has clarified that one should not approach unauthorized individuals or private shops to obtain the free SIM.
Eligible women are advised to refrain from obtaining or activating the SIM through any franchise, retailer, or unrelated person.
According to officials, the entire process of providing and activating the free SIM will be carried out exclusively through official BISP offices. Beneficiaries have been instructed not to provide their personal information or identity documents to anyone unnecessarily.
The BISP administration has urged eligible women to follow only the official procedure for obtaining the SIM to protect themselves against any form of fraud or forgery.
It should be noted that the free SIM facility aims to make it easier for eligible women to access the program’s services.
Officials have also advised citizens to seek guidance from the relevant BISP offices rather than relying on information received from unverified sources.
