ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, has criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over remarks by PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar regarding the party’s planned march towards Islamabad.
Reacting to Junaid Akbar’s statement that PTI would turn Islamabad into “ruins,” the KP governor said “PTI should be ashamed of itself. Junaid Akbar’s threat to turn Islamabad into ruins is yet another display of the politics of violence, intimidation and destruction that “Tehreek-e-Inteshar” has normalised.”
The KP governor also added that “This is the same politics that thrives on demonising state institutions and feeding an increasingly confrontational, anti-state narrative.

At a time when the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are already paying a devastating price amid terrorism, economic hardship and governance failures, PTI’s answer is to threaten the federal capital with chaos.”
He went on to say, ” Have the courage to return to KP, and take ownership of the province you claim to represent”
