ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government has abolished all fuel-saving and austerity measures implemented from March 9, 2026, after the US-Iran peace agreement was signed and the reopening of Starit of Hormuz.

According to the notification issued by the Cabinet Division, the national austerity measures will end immediately; however, restrictions related to market operating hours will remain in place.

Similarly, wedding halls and marquees will open until 10 pm, while restaurants, cafes, and food outlets will close at 11 pm. However, takeaway and home delivery services have been exempted from the ban.

Furthermore, the notification stated that pharmacies, hospitals, laboratories, medical stores, petrol pumps, CNG stations, and electric vehicle EV charging stations will also be exempted.

“Gyms, sports facilities, IT companies, and call centers will be exempted from the working hours restriction,” it added.

It further added that the market timing notifications issued on June 3 and 10 will remain in effect, while the austerity measures implemented before March 9, 2026, will remain in place.
