MASTUNG (Kashmir English): Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Mastung district of Balochistan on Friday, killing five terrorists and foiling a terror plot and recovering a large cache of weapons, explosives, and military equipment.
According to security sources, the operation was launched in Killi Padda, north of Mastung, after actionable intelligence indicated the presence of militants allegedly preparing for a high-profile attack in the area.
During the operation, security personnel cordoned off the area, including an unoccupied house complex, and conducted surveillance. An explosion occurred inside one of the buildings during the operation, sources said.
