KARACHI (Kashmir English): Famous TV actress Hajra Yamin has said that she has now realized that fans love her work and she wants to play lead roles in dramas in the future.
Her character, Minah, in the recently aired Doctor Bahu, was well-received by the audience. Although she was not the lead actress in the drama, her acting and expression of emotions impressed the audience.
Hajra Yamin is currently starring in other dramas, Hurahi and Ek Mohabbat Aur Main. Hajra says that as an artist, she tries to present her best in every role, and she is sure that the love of the audience will take her to better opportunities.
The actress said that she faced both successes and difficulties in her 8-year artistic journey, but every experience made her a better artist.
According to her, even difficult moments in life help her convey real emotions in her characters.
Hajra Yamin said that she has always chosen challenging roles instead of simple and traditional roles. She said that initially she refused to accept the role in Doctor Bahu, but on the insistence of producer Nadeem Baig, she agreed to the role.
She praised her co-star Adeel Hussain, saying that he gave her full freedom during her acting, which allowed her to portray her role more effectively.
Hajra Yamin said that she values critical acclaim, but now she wants to achieve more commercial success and appear in all kinds of roles.
According to the actress, some artists feel pressured while working with her because they fear that her acting will be highlighted, but now she likes to work with people who want to create a good project collectively.
