MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): A big blow to the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), as Member Core Committee Amjad Ali Khan Advocate announced his detachment from the committee.

Member of the Core Committee, Amjad Ali Khan Advocate, in his video statement, announced his detachment from the banned JAAC and appealed to the youth to return to positive politics.

Advocate Amjad Ali Khan says that the narrative against national institutions and the Pakistan Army shows that the Public Action Committee, which talks about public rights, has crossed the line.

Weapons, digital material recovered during raid on Khawaja Mehran’s residence

Weapons, digital devices, and other items were seized in raids conducted in the house of a banned JAAC member, Khawaja Mehran, according to sources.

Videos reportedly showing Khawaja Mehran’s brothers using weapons and engaging in target practice have surfaced following the operation.

In the raid conducted in his house, police authorities were found to have seized a laptop, an iPad used by Khawaja Mehran, and some USB drives. The seized digital devices are being analyzed for evidence.

Sources reported that forensic investigation of the digital devices is in progress while the material related to the weapons is being analyzed.

Initial analysis of the USBs revealed photos and videos of preparations before the sit-in, photos of Khawaja Mehran with weapons, which were later claimed to have been transported by ambulances.

Additionally, objectionable video material attributed to Khawaja Mehran’s brother, Hajran alias Jani, was also recovered from a USB.

According to initial investigations, the said data contains objectionable videos and records of several women.

The police added that evidence of harassment and blackmail of women by Khawaja Mehran and Hajran has also been found.

The police have taken all the digital records and other evidence into their custody, while a case has been registered against Khawaja Mehran, Hajran, and Jani, and further investigation has been initiated.

The sources reported that the investigation of the case is continuing, and more information is awaited after the process of forensic analysis of the seized items.
