CM Maryam announces 5000 laptops for students of AJK

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced 5,000 laptops and 2,000 scholarships for students of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), vowing to provide educational facilities to the students of AJK in case the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) forms the next government.

While addressing the election rally in Muzaffarabad, Maryam Nawaz said that through this initiative, we would provide the students with higher education and better access to digital learning material.

Moreover, she announced that the welfare schemes launched by the Punjab government, such as the electric bike and interest-free loan schemes, would be extended to AJK. She further announced that she would extend the Himmat Card scheme for persons with disability in the region.

Apart from this, the CM also vowed to provide 15 Clinic on Wheels units in AJK to provide health facilities to the people of the region. Maryam Nawaz further announced that a PML-N government would provide jobs to the youth of the region.

Regarding health development, Maryam Nawaz said that the under-construction 1,000-bed Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital in Lahore would cater to the patients of AJK. She also vowed that she would request the PM to include AJK in the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar housing scheme.
