BERLIN (Kashmir English): The University of Göttingen has released application forms for the DAAD Scholarship 2027 for international students to undertake a Master’s or PhD degree in Germany.

This scholarship is specifically designed to help excellent students who wish to do research, innovate, and collaborate internationally while pursuing their education in one of Germany’s best public research universities.

This scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance and tuition fee-related help to the chosen students. The chosen Master’s students will be provided a €934 monthly stipend, while PhD students will get a €1,300 monthly stipend. Alongside that, they will also get health, accident, and liability insurance, a travel grant if necessary, a family grant, and a rental allowance depending upon their eligibility.

In addition, this program offers students excellent academic resources, research facilities, and the chance to engage in multidisciplinary research on sustainability.

The University of Göttingen, founded in 1734, provides the scholarship via the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). This program focuses on supporting students who want to study environmental management, forestry, agriculture, and other relevant subjects and promotes innovation in research and science.

How to Apply

To apply, individuals need to be international students and seek admission into a Master’s or PhD program. The applicant seeking admission to the Master’s program needs to have a bachelor’s degree, whereas the one seeking admission to the PhD program requires having a master’s degree.

The candidates need to have relevant academic and professional experience, good academic results, and dedication to sustainable development. Additionally, the candidate should have language skills in either English or German, depending on the chosen program.

The application should include the completed online application form, current CV or resume, English language proficiency certificate, motivation letter, two recommendation letters, passport or national identification card, and personal statement.

The closing date for the DAAD scholarship at the University of Göttingen in 2027 is November 15, 2026. The application process for those interested includes registration on the DAAD Göttingen website, filling out the online form, attaching all necessary documents, and sending the application.

Once the application period closes, the university will inform the applicants of the result via email.
