MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The election activities of the PML-N for the Azad Kashmir elections have intensified as Mian Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Azad Kashmir has been finalized.
According to PML-N sources, President PML-N Mian Nawaz Sharif will address major election rallies in Muzaffarabad on July 21 and Mirpur on July 24.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will also participate in the election tour of Azad Kashmir along with Mian Nawaz Sharif.
Advisor to the Prime Minister Senator Rana Sanaullah, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam and the central leadership of the PML-N have already reached Muzaffarabad for the election campaign.
An important meeting was held in Muzaffarabad by the central leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) along with the leaders of the PML-N Azad Jammu and Kashmir regarding the 2026 elections.
It was decided in the meeting that PML-N leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will address election rallies in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur.
The meeting also reviewed in detail the preparations for the visit of PML-N leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to Azad Kashmir and the arrangements for the election rally.
Candidates from different constituencies of Azad Kashmir, party leaders, local government representatives and workers participated in the meeting.
The leadership of PML-N Azad Kashmir presented various suggestions related to the election campaign, organizational contacts and future strategy.
Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam
On this occasion, Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam said that PML-N has always prioritized public service in Azad Kashmir and will achieve success in the 2026 elections based on performance.
He said that PML-N will run a vigorous election campaign, solving public problems and the development of the region is our top priority, Kashmir is a symbol of peace, progress, and prosperity.
Amir Muqam said that holding elections on time is inevitable, and clean and transparent elections are the best solution to public problems.
On this occasion, the leadership of the PML-N also directed the workers to intensify the election campaign and conduct a door-to-door campaign.
The meeting expressed its determination that the PML-N will achieve victory in the July 27, 2026 elections with full public support.
The meeting was attended by Captain Safdar, General Secretary PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Murtaza Javed Abbasi, PML-N Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Shah Ghulam Qadir, former Prime Minister Farooq Haider Khan, Abdul Rehman Arain, Barrister Iftikhar Gilani, and others.
