Bilawal Bhutto will not attend budget session, says PPP

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will not attend the budget session today, the PPP said, adding that the party would not boycott the session.

In a post on X, PPP spokesperson Nadeem Afzal Chan said the party has not decided to boycott the budget session and that Bilawal Bhutto will not participate.

“Some members will attend the session. The PPP will be part of the budget proceedings in the national interest,” he was quoted as saying in the post.

Later, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar arrived at Bilawal’s chamber in Parliament to convince him; however, they did not speak to the media.

The government has been making efforts to remove the reservations of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

According to the sources, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry also met Bilawal Bhutto.

After the meeting, Bilawal, along with Mohsin Naqvi, left his chamber for the assembly hall.
