KOTLI (Kashmir English): Following his visit to Bhimber and Samahani, Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq has reached Kotli on a visit to the LoC areas, including in Nakyal sector.
Upon his arrival, the AJK premier went straight to the graves of the martyrs of Indian aggression in Samti Majhan village. He visited the graves of martyrs Umar Musa and Misbah Kausar and offered Fateha.
After that, the Prime Minister also offered condolences to the martyrs’ father, Dr. Musa, at his residence. Senior Minister Colonel (retd) Waqar Ahmed Noor, Minister for Public Health Dr. Nisar Ansar Abdali, and Minister for Rehabilitation Javed Iqbal Badhanvi were also present.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister expressed solidarity with the heirs of the martyrs and announced financial assistance to the families affected by Indian shelling.
The Prime Minister assured the public that all losses, including damage to houses and livestock, would be compensated, and the injured would receive new checks. PM Haq also vowed to rebuild hospitals and colleges destroyed in shelling, restoring them to their original state or better.
He also emphasized that the government’s resources would be spent on public construction and development, benefiting the people of Azad Kashmir.
In addition to that, the premier also announced the construction of a primary school in the name of “Misbah Shaheed” in Samti Majhan.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that the nation is proud of the sacrifices of the martyrs, adding that the purpose of coming here was to express solidarity with the heirs of the martyrs.
The Prime Minister assured the public that the government would continue to provide support to the families of martyrs and injured individuals.
“Financial assistance has been provided to the heirs of all the martyrs of the recent Indian shelling and attack,” the Prime Minister said, adding that an emergency fund of Rs1 billion was established before the conflict.
