MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Kashmir police official has been dismissed for allegedly recruiting a woman into the police force through forgery and fake documents.
According to the AJK police press release, an officer of the Azad Kashmir Police Rangers Division, Rizwan Tamar, recruited a woman illegally to the post of constable against the post of a migrant quota.
Taking swift action, the police have registered a case against a dismissed officer and a female constable, Laiba.
As per details, both have been accused of preparing fake documents, including a marriage certificate, identity card, and domicile certificate, to facilitate the woman’s recruitment last year as a constable against the post of a migrant resident.
An immediate departmental inquiry was conducted after a complaint of fraudulent recruitment was received, resulting in the dismissal of both officials from the police service.
A separate case has been registered under criminal law against both dismissed employees for committing forgery and cheating.
The Azad Kashmir Police Department has reaffirmed its commitment to implementing a zero-tolerance policy against corruption, abuse, and moral crimes. The case will be decided on merit based on the facts and evidence presented, the press release added.
An employee involved in illegal activities, abuse, corruption, or moral crimes will not be eligible for any concession, regardless of the rank or position.
