MIRPUR(Kashmir English): In a significant operation, Azad Kashmir Police have arrested a drug dealer in Dadyal Tehsil of Mirpur district, recovering 74 bottles of liquor during the raid.
A notorious drug dealer, Seerat Ali, resident of Mohra Kanyal, Dam area chapara. The arrested drug dealer had a previous case registered against him for the recovery of 230 bottles of liquor, which is currently under trial in court/
The operation was conducted under the instructions of SSP Mirpur Khawar Ali Shaukat, as part of a broader crackdown on drug dealers and other criminal elements.
The police have registered a case under the Narcotics Control Act and have initiated an investigation. A search is underway for the drug dealer’s accomplice, Raja Zain, and others.
The Dadyal Police team, led by SHO Inspector Rashid Habib, demonstrated their commitment to tackling drug-related crimes in the area. The police will continue to take strict action against those involved in such activities, police said.
