MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has congratulated the nation on the 78th founding anniversary of the Government of AJK on Friday.
In his message shared on Thursday, the President reaffirmed the Kashmiris’ pledge to continue their ongoing struggle for freedom in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK) till it reaches its logical conclusion.
Paying tribute to the people of Kashmir for their unparalleled sacrifices, he said the freedom movement has been sustained by the blood of millions who laid down their lives for the cause.
He said that India has employed every means of oppression and suppression to crush the Kashmiris’ spirit of freedom, yet it has miserably failed to weaken their resolve in the past and will not succeed in the future either.
He called upon the United Nations and the international community to take cognizance of the ongoing Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and to ensure the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination as guaranteed by the UN.
He also lauded the Pakistan Army for its success against India in Operation Banyan Al-Marsoos, saying, “The Pakistan Army has crushed India’s arrogance and raised the nation’s head high with pride.”
Reiterating solidarity with the people of Kashmir, the President said that on this Foundation Day, we must renew our pledge to stand by our Kashmiri brothers and support them in their struggle for their birthright.
