PML-N delegations from Azad Kashmir and GB meet Rana Sanaullah to discuss elections

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): PML-N delegations from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) met Adviser Rana Sanaullah on Thursday to discuss regional political issues, upcoming elections, and governance reforms.

A delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) chapter, led by its president Shah Ghulam Qadir, met with Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, on Thursday to discuss regional matters.

During the meeting, Qadir highlighted the key political issues that were affecting AJK, especially the region’s strong support for former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He also emphasised the political challenges facing the party in AJK, while also discussing the forthcoming elections in the area. According to a press release, the meeting was aimed at addressing party concerns and ensuring the region’s representation within the party’s broader framework.

In response, Rana Sanaullah assured the delegation that their concerns would be conveyed to the party leadership. He repeated PML-N’s dedication to the people of Azad Kashmir, reaffirming that the party remains a strong and stable political force in the region. Sanaullah also promised full support for PML-N leaders and its workers in Azad Kashmir, highlighting the party’s responsibility to address their challenges and maintain its position ahead of the elections.

Meanwhile, a different delegation of the PML-N Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) chapter also met with Adviser Rana Sanaullah on Thursday to discuss government reforms and administrative challenges in the region.

The discussions focused on PML-N’s commitment to good governance in Gilgit-Baltistan, with a focus on aligning development initiatives with the party’s overall political ideology. According to a press release, the meeting addressed the importance of assuring that government reforms in the region contribute to the joint welfare of its people.

Rana Sanaullah reassured the panel that the concerns raised during the meeting would be taken into account. He announced that the PML-N is committed to addressing the region’s management issues and will contest the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan elections with maximum strength. He also confirmed that party tickets for the elections would be granted based strictly on merit, backing the party’s dedication to fair and transparent electoral procedures.

Both meetings highlighted the PML-N’s focus on strengthening its political strength in AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan, with an emphasis on stability, good governance, and electoral preparedness.
