Loan scheme announced for journalists, Media Startups

PESHAWAR (Kashmir English): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government launched an interest-free loan scheme for media startups. The program supports young journalists from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who intend to create their own media organizations. Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi announced the initiative.

The government established the program to follow Imran Khan’s vision, according to him. The plan will enhance the development of independent media, according to him.

He first described the scheme’s main objective. The government will provide financial support to media entrepreneurs. Media entrepreneurs will use the funds to establish digital news organizations and independent media outlets. He said the program would create new employment opportunities.

The program will assist young people who want to work in journalism and create digital content. The initiative creates more job possibilities for people working in the media industry.

The government plans to connect the program with various development initiatives. The program will develop both the information technology and creative industry sectors. It will also support the development of media infrastructure.

The government plans to create dedicated media areas. The program will improve press clubs that exist in merged district areas. The program will provide journalists with training programs that extend over an extended period.

The chief minister explained the program’s main objective. The initiative enables youth empowerment through digital development, according to him. The initiative will enhance journalism practices and storytelling techniques in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to him.
