AJK PM encourages women to enter business sector at Job Festival 2026

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore paid a special visit to the “Azad Jammu and Kashmir Job Festival 2026” held in the capital Muzaffarabad, where he appreciated the entrepreneurial skills of women and assured them of the full support of the government to make them economically independent.

On this occasion, the stalls of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce remained the center of special attention of the participants and dignitaries.

Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore paid a special visit to the “Azad Jammu and Kashmir Job Festival 2026” held in the capital Muzaffarabad, where a large number of youth, business people, and especially women participated.

On this occasion, Finance Minister Chaudhry Qasim Majeed and Advisor on Sports, Culture, and Youth Affairs Raja Ahmed Sagheer were also present.

Women Stall Shine at Job Festival 2026

During the festival, the stalls of the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry AJK remained the center of special attention of the public, where a large number of women expressed keen interest in local products, handicrafts, food items, and other business activities. The Prime Minister and other dignitaries also visited these stalls in detail and appreciated the entrepreneurial efforts of women.

While inspecting the stalls of the Women’s Chamber, Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore spoke in detail about various products and said that the women of Azad Kashmir hold a prominent position in the whole of Pakistan in terms of literacy rate; they should come forward in the field of business as well.

He expressed his resolve that the government will provide all possible support to women so that they can become economically independent. On this occasion, the Prime Minister stressed the need to open new opportunities for export along with local businesses.

On this, the governing body of the Women’s Chamber gave a briefing and informed that women are already working in the export sector on a limited scale; however, with government patronage and full support, this scope can be expanded significantly.

The Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Azad Kashmir expressed satisfaction that the government and the private sector are jointly taking practical steps to promote women’s entrepreneurship.

The chamber said that such job festivals not only create employment opportunities but also prove to be very important for including women in the economic mainstream.

Various stalls on IT, tourism, health, recruitment in the armed forces, skills, and self-employment were also set up in the job festival, where a large number of youth participated and registered for jobs and training programs.

The Prime Minister said on the occasion that such events play the role of an effective bridge between the youth and employers, which will help in eliminating unemployment.
