LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to sell the ownership rights of the PSL franchise Multan Sultans team.

According to reports, after the successful bidding of two new teams, PCB officials are now going to prepare the advertisement paperwork for the auction of  Sultans and issue a regular advertisement soon.

PCB hopes to get a big amount from the sale of Multan Sultans.

Earlier, PCB had announced to run Multan Sultans on its own for one year in the current season.

After the record sale of two franchises in PSL and the interest of foreign investors, it has been agreed to auction the Sultans.

Like the bidding of Hyderabad and Sialkot teams in Islamabad, Multan Sultans will also be sold through open bidding in a few days, following the PEPARA rules.

The former owner of Multan, Ali Tareen, can also participate in the open bidding and become the new owner of the team after fulfilling the conditions of the advertisement.

Multan Sultans will also be in action with a new owner in PSL season 11.

PSL 11 DRAFT

On the other hand, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) draft for the 11th season is likely to be held on January 30.

The PSL management is working on a strategy to resolve all administrative and technical issues as soon as possible, before the PSL draft.

Sources say that the PSL management has started formal planning for the draft, while the date and venue of the draft are expected to be announced in the next few days.

Owners, coaches, and other representatives of all 8 franchises will participate in the PSL draft.

It has been further reported that the PSL 11 draft is likely to be held during a one-day break during the T20 series between Pakistan and Australia.
