NEELUM (Kashmir English): Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore paid strong tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces and the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir, reiterating his government’s commitment to continue supporting the Kashmir freedom movement.

Addressing a media talk at the Line of Control (LoC) in the Chalhana sector during his one-day visit to Neelum, the premier said Pakistan’s armed forces are making “immense sacrifices” to defend the homeland along the LoC.

Rathore added that standing at the frontlines makes one realize the true value of freedom. “Thank God we are breathing in free air,” he remarked.

He said that Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has been transformed into a military cantonment by India, where more than 700,000 troops are engaged in a systematic campaign of violence and repression.

“The Indian army is breaking mountains of oppression in Occupied Kashmir,” he maintained.

Rathore paid tribute to the people of Occupied Kashmir for their unwavering sacrifices in the freedom struggle, expressing confidence that these sacrifices “will not go in vain.”

He rejected India’s narrative of normalcy, saying, “The message to the world is that India’s display of fake freedom is nothing but deception.”

The AJK Prime Minister said the Pakistan Army has always responded forcefully to Indian aggression, and that the people of Azad Kashmir remain steadfast alongside the army.

“The people living on the LoC are not afraid of Indian aggression. Whenever the time comes, we will stand by our army,” he said.

Reaffirming the political stance of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Rathore said the party’s slogan has always been the right of Kashmiris to determine their own future through self-determination. “The People’s Party will always highlight the voice of Kashmiris at the international level,” he pledged.

He added that India is under the false impression that it can control the thinking of the Kashmiri people, asserting that the Kashmir freedom movement is “a movement for the completion of Pakistan.”

The Prime Minister also vowed to address the issues faced by residents of LoC areas, assuring them of full government support.
