DUBAI (Kashmir English): The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday suspended Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf for two One-Day Internationals (ODIs) for breaching the ICC code of conduct during the recent Asia Cup 2025.

As per the ICC statement, Rauf has been suspended for Pakistan’s ODI games against South Africa on November 4 and 6 after he received four demerit points within 24 months.

“The ICC issued the outcomes of several Code of Conduct proceedings arising from matches played during the ICC Asia Cup 2025,” the statement added.

The cricketing body said that the “hearings were conducted by members of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees” following incidents in the matches between India and Pakistan on September 14, 21, and 28.

According to the statement, Haris Rauf received two demerit points after he was found guilty of a breach of Article 2.21, which relates to conduct that brings the game into disrepute, and was fined 30 per cent of his match fee.

Later in the tournament final between Pakistan and India on September 28, Rauf was again found guilty of a breach of Article 2.21, resulting in two additional demerit points.

“This takes Rauf’s total to four demerit points within a 24-month period, resulting in two suspension points under the ICC’s disciplinary framework,” the ICC said, adding that in accordance with the Code, he is therefore suspended.
