ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to visit Geneva as part of a high-level Pakistani delegation to attend a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the US and Iran.

According to the sources, the delegation led by the PM will leave tomorrow.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confirmed that Pakistan is now “working closely” with the US and Iran to finalise the next steps of the “agreed-upon” text of the peace deal.

“Amid ongoing intense mediation efforts by Pakistan, we are fully aware of an incessant misinformation campaign being waged by those who want to sabotage the peace deal,” the premier wrote in a post on social media platform X.

PM Shehbaz further confirmed that a final, agreed-upon text of the peace deal has been reached.

“Setting aside the noise, we can confirm that a final, agreed-upon text of the peace deal has been reached and Pakistan is now working closely with both sides to finalize the next steps. Peace has never been this close as it is now,” he added.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also said that an “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding” has never been closer.

In a post on the social media platform X, Abbas Araqchi has urged the media to refrain from speculating about its contents

“In line with our responsible and transparent approach, all details will be shared with the public in due course,” he wrote. Later, Trump reposted the Iranian foreign minister’s social media post.
