TAXILA (Kashmir English): A 28-year-old TikToker, Shamsu, also known as Ayesha Gilamana, was killed in a shooting incident at Taxila Bypass along with her younger sister, who sustained injuries.
As per preliminary reports, Shamsu, along with her sibling, was heading back to Rawalpindi. The police said that an assailant riding a motorcycle stopped near Taxila at their car and opened fire on them.
Two bullets reportedly struck Ayesha Gilamana in the neck, leaving her critically injured. She later succumbed to her injuries.
The police reported that her sister Asmia sustained injuries too, and she was shifted to PIMS Hospital in Islamabad for treatment.
Police arrived at the scene to gather evidence and started investigations. A search operation is underway to catch the culprits, while the reasons behind that are still not clear.
The body of Ayesha was taken to THQ Hospital, Taxila, for a post-mortem examination.
As per the FIR, Shamsu Bibi was called out of her home through a phone call. She went away in a car with her sister, and close to a private petrol station, some unidentified motorcycle riders opened fire on their vehicle.
Shamsu was left critically injured; the car then went out of control and rammed into a dumper.
The victim’s father stated that his daughter had a monetary disagreement with some people named Kausar and Javed, alias Shaheen, and she had earlier told her family about the threats she was facing. The FIR says she was targeted because of that dispute.
Police said the entire matter is under scrutiny from all angles, evidence is being gathered, and steps are in progress to nab the accused.
