NISSHIN (Kashmir English): India posted 211 for eight against Pakistan in the first innings of the Asian Games men’s T20 cricket final at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin.

After winning the toss, India elected to bat and got off to an aggressive start, with Abhishek Sharma leading the scoring with a blistering 61 off 21 balls. His innings included three fours and seven sixes.

Tilak Varma also produced a powerful knock, scoring 51 off 22 deliveries with three fours and four sixes, while Shivam Dube contributed 27 off 15 balls.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 15 off nine balls, while Shreyas Iyer made 21 off 21. Ishan Kishan added 20 off 18 balls before being dismissed.

For Pakistan, Ahmed Daniyal and Arafat Minhas claimed two wickets each. Saim Ayub, Abrar Ahmed and the other bowlers also picked up wickets, but India maintained a high scoring rate throughout the innings.

India finished at 211 for eight in 20 overs, setting Pakistan a target of 212 runs to win the Asian Games final.

Pakistan will now begin its run chase with the gold medal at stake.
