NISHIN (Kashmir English): India has won the toss and decided to bat against Pakistan in the Asian Games cricket final.

In the match being played in the Japanese city of Nishin, Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bat first.

Sahibzada Farhan is leading the Pakistani cricket team; one change has been made to the national squad, with Saad Masood replacing Wasim Jr., whereas the Indian team remains unchanged for the final.

The Pakistan team includes Sahibzada Farhan, Maaz Sadaqat, Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Hassan Nawaz, Abdul Samad, Arafat Minhas, and Ahmed Daniyal. Additionally, the squad features Abrar Ahmed, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Saad Masood.

At the Asian Games, India once again displayed its characteristic intransigence and flouted the spirit of the “gentleman’s game,” as the Indian captain refused to shake hands with his Pakistani counterpart.

There are concerns that the Pakistan-India final could be disrupted due to the forecast of rain in Nishin.
