DHAKA (Kashmir English): Pakistan won 10 medals on the first day of the South Asian Karate Championship in Bangladesh.
Pakistan’s Mir Hamza Kasi won the gold medal on the first day of the championship in Mirpur, he won the gold medal in the minus 75 kg class.
Taha Mustafa gave Pakistan its second gold medal in the minus 63 kg class junior category.
Pakistan’s Anita Fatima, Hafiza Iqra Munawar, Aqsa Azam, Laiba Zia and Rabia Farooq won bronze medals.
In the men’s event, Mir Waiz Khan won the silver medal, Shamsh Iftikhar and Mir Hamza won bronze medals.
