ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Azad Kashmir and parts of Pakistan experienced a severe impact of rising day temperature that led to disruption in routine life.
The intensity of heat further increased at the end of the Eid holidays across the country including Azad Kashmir, leaving citizens distressed.
The Meteorological Department has expressed concern about record-breaking heat, stating that temperatures in Lahore are expected to reach 47 degrees Celsius.

The Met Department said that the weather will remain severely hot and dry in most districts of Azad Kashmir, Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan. Dusty winds are likely in some places in the afternoon as well.
The mercury in Muzaffarabad reached 44 degrees Celsius on Monday. The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in Chitral and Dir districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
