KABAL (Kashmir English): Several people were injured in a suicide blast carried out by Fitna-al-Khawarij near the main gate of Kabal Police Station in the Kabal area of Swat on Saturday evening, according to initial reports.
The explosion occurred at approximately 6:15 pm, when residents were participating in a peace rally organized to promote peace and stability in the area.
According to preliminary information, the suspected suicide bomber detonated explosives near the entrance of the police station, causing injuries to civilians and police personnel. Authorities have also expressed fears of casualties, although the exact number of dead and injured has not yet been officially confirmed.
Rescue teams and law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene immediately after the explosion. The area has been cordoned off, while security officials have launched an investigation and are collecting forensic evidence.
Officials said a detailed report, including confirmed casualty figures and the extent of the damage, will be released after the investigation progresses.
