MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The polling for the second phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) general elections in three districts of Muzaffarabad division concluded on Sunday amid allegations of rigging and incidents of violence at several polling stations.
As the vote count is underway in 20 constituencies of the Muzaffarabad division and Kashmiri refugees, Kashmir Digital has started receiving unofficial and preliminary results from multiple polling stations.
Polling in LA-27 Muzaffarabad was postponed after polling material and election staff failed to reach the constituency on time due to a landslide and road blockage.

Polling for the refugee seats began at 8 am and continued until 5 pm, while the process concluded at 6 pm in Muzaffarabad after an hour-long extension.
According to the election body, over 300 candidates from different political parties and as independent candidates contested the polls today for the Muzaffarabad seats and the 12 seats for refugees settled across Pakistan.

Following the disruption, the Election Commission issued a fresh schedule, announcing August 4 as the new polling date.
A three-way contest is expected in the constituency, with former government minister Noreen Arif representing the PML-N, Sardar Javed Ayub contesting on the PPP ticket, and Sardar Tabarak Ali representing the IPP.
