KHARAN (Kashmir English): Security forces have killed eight BLA militants during an operation in Kharan, Balochistan, after the group set up a roadblock to stop and loot vehicles carrying civilians.
According to security sources, the militants had established a checkpoint on a road in Kharan and were stopping vehicles and looting passengers.
Security forces responded to the activity and launched a drone-based operation against the militants.
The sources said all militants involved in the roadblock were eliminated, along with their reinforcements who arrived at the site. The operation was aimed at protecting civilians and restoring safe movement along the road.
Four terrorists killed in CTD operation in Peshawar’s Badaber
At least four terrorists were killed in a Counter Terrorism Operation (CTD) in the Badaber area of Peshawar.
According to CTD, 3 SMGs, pistols, hand grenades, magazines, and cartridges were recovered from the slain terrorists.
The CTD statement says that an Afghan identity card was recovered from the pocket of one of the slain terrorists, who belongs to Kunar, Afghanistan.
CTD says that 2 motorcycles used by the terrorists have been seized. The process of identifying the slain terrorists is underway. Search operations are underway for the escaped accomplices of the slain terrorists.
According to CTD officials, the Crime Scene Unit and BDU have been called to collect evidence from the scene of the incident.
IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed says that operations against terrorists will continue without discrimination, and terrorists and their facilitators will not be allowed to disrupt peace and order.
