QUETTA (Kashmir English): Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has welcomed the court’s verdict in the murder case of Shaheed Shabbir Baloch, saying that “justice was delayed, but justice was served”.
In a statement on X, the Chief Minister said that Shabbir Baloch was not merely a government official but a beloved son, a source of support for his family, and a loyal friend whose loss left a deep impact on those who knew him.
“Shaheed Shabbir Baloch was not just a trusted official, but he was a mother’s heart, a sibling’s support, and a sincere and loyal companion to his friends,” he wrote.

He described his killing as a heartbreaking tragedy, stating that the brutality inflicted upon him was enough to shake the conscience of humanity.
“The ruthlessness and brutality with which he was stoned to death is such a heartbreaking tragedy that is enough to shake the conscience of humanity.”
The minister added that his innocent mother waited patiently and steadfastly for two long years to get justice; finally, the law took its course.
“The court gave a verdict based on the facts, and the murderers were punished.”
“This was the moment when the heart of a sad and suffering mother found some peace and contentment after years, and she realized that justice was delayed, but justice was served,” he concluded.
