ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) senior leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that the party will meet President Asif Ali Zardari to consult on the future course of action regarding the political situation in Azad Kashmir and the government formation.
Speaking to the media after the meeting of Pakistan Peoples’ Party Azad Kashmir chapter in Islamabad, Qamar Zaman Kaira said that today’s meeting discussed in detail the current political situation in Azad Kashmir, and the future strategy.
He said that the party’s top leadership will make a final decision in this regard after consulting with President Asif Ali Zardari.
He said that whenever a government is formed, numbers are ensured, adding political decisions are made after careful consideration.
Kaira clarified that he has only got information about the decision of the Muslim League-N sitting on opposition benches through the media, adding it has not yet formally informed about it.
Political situation in Azad Kashmir
The PPP leader said that the current political situation in Azad Kashmir has entered a very important phase, and the party will move forward carefully.
He said that the Peoples Party has always prioritized national interest and democratic continuity, and this time too, all decisions will be made under the same principle.
Qamar Zaman Kaira further said that all possibilities are being considered regarding government formation in Azad Kashmir, and the final strategy will be announced after consultation with President Asif Ali Zardari.
