MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Iftikhar Gilani, expressed his grief over the tragedy in Bagh in a message posted on the social media platform X.
Prime Minister Iftikhar Gilani stated that he is deeply saddened and distressed by the tragic loss of innocent lives in Pindi, Bagh. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
The violence, intimidation, and unrest, which have persisted for five months at the hands of the proscribed ‘Action Committee,’ have caused severe suffering for the public. The people of Kashmir have effectively been held hostage for the past five months.
The Prime Minister further stated that the time has come to hold the proscribed ‘Action Committee’—along with its associates responsible for targeting citizens and undermining peace—accountable.
Prime Minister Iftikhar Gillani added that the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir stands firmly with its citizens; the people of the region deserve peace, security, and a normal life.
