MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Kashmir Home Department has sent a request to the relevant authorities to place the names of the core committee members and active workers of the banned Public Action Committee on the Exit Control List (ECL).
Moreover, the Governments of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir have reportedly intensified action against the Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), which was recently declared a proscribed organization under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
According to sources, federal and state authorities have decided to freeze the national identity cards, passports, and bank accounts of individuals found to be involved in supporting or facilitating the proscribed group.
The reported measures are intended to restrict the organization’s alleged financial networks and monitor activities linked to its operations.
According to the sources, the scope of the operation has been extended beyond Azad Jammu and Kashmir to other parts of Pakistan. Relevant authorities have reportedly been asked to compile details of movable and immovable assets linked to individuals under investigation.
Officials are said to be seeking records of properties, including houses, commercial establishments, plots, and agricultural land, for legal scrutiny and any action permitted under applicable laws.
