ISLAMABAD: (Kashmir English): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has called an important meeting of the parliamentary party of the PPP Azad Kashmir to consult on the appointment of the President in AJK.
According to party sources, the meeting will be held on February 11, at 7:30 pm at the President’s House in Islamabad, in which Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will also attend the meeting.
In addition, the parliamentary party and central leadership of the PPP Azad Kashmir are expected to participate. Kashmir Affairs In-charge Faryal Talpur will also attend the meeting.
The meeting includes the agenda of an important consultation meeting regarding the election of the President of Azad Kashmir, and a final decision on the no-confidence motion against the Deputy Speaker is likely to be taken.
While a detailed review of the performance of the PPP government in AJK will be conducted.
On the other hand, the political situation and the strategy for the upcoming general elections will also be considered. The decisions of the meeting may prove to be important developments in the politics of Azad Kashmir, sources said.
