PESHAWAR (Kashmir English): Haji Umar Khattab, the owner of the famous Shankar Chapli Kabab in Mardan, has passed away. Haji Umar had its own unique identity across Pakistan.
The funeral prayers of the deceased will be offered tomorrow, Wednesday, at 11 am in Shankar village on Katlang Road in Mardan.
As soon as the news of his death spread, a large number of social and business figures and fans of the area reached his residence to offer condolences.
Haji Umar Khattab’s family was associated with this historic kebab business even before the formation of Pakistan, and he himself was keeping this art alive in the fourth generation.
The kebabs prepared by him are equally popular not only in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but also across the country.
