PM Faisal Rathore seeks urgent steps for BAJK upgrade, health card rollout

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Faisal Rathore has issued clear instructions to expedite the process of giving the status of a scheduled bank to the Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

He orders to take all necessary technical and administrative steps for the immediate issuance of health cards.

In this important meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, various aspects of economic strengthening of the region, public welfare, and government reforms were discussed in detail.

During the meeting, Finance Secretary Islam Zeb briefed the Prime Minister and said that better treatment facilities will be provided to millions of citizens through the Health Card Program, and preparations for its issuance are being brought into the final stages.

He also informed about the technical aspects of the ongoing process of scheduling of the Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister strictly directed the concerned authorities to further accelerate the pace of both projects so that the people can benefit from these facilities as soon as possible.

Prime Minister Faisal Rathore said that the politics of the PPP is based on service, transparency, and public welfare; therefore, the government will give practical results at all times.

He said, “We have to move forward with a plan and fulfill the promises made to the people. The responsibility is ours, and it is up to us to fulfill it.”

He added that a coordinated strategy should be adopted for the welfare of the citizens, and all departments should work effectively with mutual communication.

The meeting was also attended by government ministers Chaudhry Qasim Majeed and Sardar Ziaul Qamar, Principal Secretary Zafar Mahmood Khan, Information Secretary Sardar Adnan Khurshid, Forest Secretary Ansar Yaqub Khan, Finance Secretary Islam Zeb, and other senior officials.

The meeting expressed its determination that the government would complete all projects of public interest on a priority basis and no reduction in the provision of facilities to the citizens of the region would be allowed.
