ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has explained why identity cards may be rejected during the quality control stage, even after they have been prepared and printed.
Speaking on a podcast, a NADRA spokesperson said that printing an identity card does not mean it is immediately ready for delivery. Every printed card undergoes an additional quality control process to ensure that it is free from errors and defects.
According to the spokesperson, a specialized NADRA team carefully examines printed identity cards to identify any irregularities, missing information, or other shortcomings.
If any issue is detected during the inspection, the card is referred for further review and examination before it can proceed through the process.
The spokesperson clarified that quality control is an essential step in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of identity cards issued to citizens.
Therefore, an application or printed card flagged at this stage may require further scrutiny before the process can be completed. Printing alone does not guarantee that the identity card will be handed over to the applicant.
