LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday announced a 16-member squad, including four uncapped players, for the two-Test matches between Pakistan and Bangladesh set to take place in Bangladesh next month.
In a news release, the PCB said the first match will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka from May 8 to 12, while the second will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from May 16 to 20. Both matches will be part of the ICC World Test Championship.
As per the squad, four uncapped players, Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, are part of the squad.
The others include captain Shan Masood, Babar Azam, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Rizwan, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, and Shaheen Shah Afridi

The PCB further said that players are scheduled to fly to Bangladesh on May 2. Players who are currently taking part in PSL 11 will join the camp following the conclusion of their team’s campaign.
Moreover, the cricket board also said that former Test captain Sarfaraz Ahmed will serve as head coach of Pakistan’s red-ball team.
Sarfaraz has won two ICC titles as captain of Pakistan, the ICC U19 World Cup 2006 and the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, and also guided Pakistan U19 to the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup title as mentor/manager five months ago. In addition, former Test cricketers Asad Shafiq and Umar Gul will work as batting and bowling coaches, respectively, on the tour.
