ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan will host the 14th South Asian Federation (SAF) Games from April 4 to 11, 2027, with around 6,000 athletes from South Asian countries set to compete across 28 sports.

According to the Foreign Office statement, the participating nations include Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

The meeting, chaired by DPM Dar, finalised the dates of the games in coordination with the South Asian Olympic Committee (SAOC).

The government also approved the appointment of a national coordinator and the composition of the steering, organising, and provincial committees.
