ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan has rejected the Indian media’s claims regarding the deployment of 20,000 Pakistani troops for the Gaza peace force under a post-war plan floated by US President Donald Trump.

Indian media outlet, FirstPost, on Monday reported that Field Marshal Asim Munir “brokered a deal” with the CIA and Mossad to deploy 20,000 Pakistani troops to Gaza as part of a so-called International Stabilization Force (ISF) to “neutralize Hamas” and secure the region.

In a statement issued on X, the Fact Checker of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting termed the news item completely fabricated, confirming that no such meetings, understandings, or deals ever took place between Pakistan’s leadership, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), or the Israeli Mossad.

“Pakistan does not recognize Israel, has no diplomatic or military engagement with it, and maintains a clear, principled stance in support of Palestinian self-determination,” the ministry’s statement added.

Furthermore, it clarified that the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), has not issued any statement, nor has any credible Pakistani or international source verified any plan for military deployment in Gaza.

The Fact Checker further added that CNN-News18, cited by FirstPost, has a history of “publishing anti-Pakistan disinformation, including multiple unverified ‘intelligence source’ stories in the past.”

The ministry concluded that “the entire story is a manufactured propaganda piece with no factual or institutional basis.”

The deployment of an international peace force in Gaza was part of the US president’s plan to help secure a fragile ceasefire, which began this month, halting two years of war between Israel and the Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
