ABBOTTABAD (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the Director General of Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has said that the Pakistan Army is fully committed to defending the homeland, and the response to any external aggression will be strong and severe.
During a special meeting with teachers and students of various universities in Abbottabad, DG ISPR clarified that the Pakistani Armed Forces are always alert and no compromise will be made on the security of the country.
A large number of teachers, students, and administrators participated in the meeting. The DG ISPR discussed in detail the recent Pak-Afghan tension, the security situation in the country, and the measures taken against the Khawarij sedition.
Furthermore, the Pakistan Army Spokesperson emphasized that Pakistan has taken comprehensive and effective steps to eradicate terrorism.
He said that the Pakistani Armed Forces have eradicated terrorism with the support of the nation and put the country on the path of peace and stability.
During the meeting, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that the unity and trust of the nation are the real strength of the Pakistan Army. He said that enemies are trying to mislead the minds of the youth, so providing accurate and reliable information is the need of the hour.
The spokesperson of the Pakistan Army further said that the youth are our future; we should enlighten them with the principles of national security and the spirit of patriotism so that they can play an active role in the defense of the country.
While praising the extraordinary performance of the Army, Vice Chancellor of Hazara University, Dr. Ikramullah Khan, said that the true metaphor of love for the country is the Pakistan Army, which is always on the frontline.
The teachers emphasized that truth and awareness should be promoted to protect the youth from enemy propaganda.
The students said that we are proud to be citizens of this country, where institutions like the Pakistan Army provide courage and leadership to the youth.
They said that the answers of the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army removed ambiguities from the minds regarding the national and provincial situations and further strengthened the feelings of patriotism.
In conclusion, DG ISPR said that Pakistan’s armed forces are proud of the sacrifices of their martyrs and ghazis, and no sacrifice will be spared for the defense of the homeland.
