LEEPA VALLEY (Kashmir English): Pakistan Army successfully repelled an attempted infiltration by Indian forces in the Leepa Valley sector, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.
According to security sources, eight Indian soldiers belonging to the 20 Raj of the 17 Brigade were killed and 14 others were injured during the exchange of fire.
A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) was also reported among the dead.
The Pakistan Army responded swiftly and effectively, destroying multiple Indian posts, including Kumar Top, Gouda Nika, Pimple 1, and Pimple 2.
The intense firing continued for over three hours before the Indian side raised white flags, after which Pakistani troops ceased fire.
Following the heavy losses suffered by the Indian forces, the situation in the Leepa Valley has returned to normal, the sources added.
