LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Nawaz Sharif will chair the meeting of the PML-N Azad Kashmir parliamentary board in Lahore on May 8, in which important decisions are expected.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has called a meeting of the parliamentary board at the PML-N secretariat in Model Town, Lahore at 11 am today.

After presiding over the parliamentary board meeting, Nawaz Sharif will also meet the league leaders who have applied for tickets.

Earlier, Mian Nawaz Sharif had called a meeting of the parliamentary board in Muzaffarabad, but the league leader suddenly canceled the visit and called the league leadership to Lahore.

Senior league leadership, including Pakistan Muslim League-N President Shah Ghulam Qadir, former Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, Mushtaq Minhas, and Tariq Farooq, have reached Lahore, while the majority of the candidates who have applied for tickets have also reached Lahore.

The Azad Kashmir League leadership had shortlisted some names after interviewing those who applied for tickets, but now the final decision will be taken by Nawaz Sharif.

According to sources, there are currently differences in some important constituencies of Azad Kashmir on the issue of tickets, and the final decision has been left to Nawaz Sharif. These constituencies include Central Bagh, Muzaffarabad Constituency Five Khaora, from where Brigadier Muhammad Khan and Saqib Majeed Raja have joined the PML-N.

If the PML-N leadership decides to issue tickets immediately, it will increase the political temperature, and more panchs can be expected.

Political observers say that the PML-N will not immediately issue tickets in all constituencies; tickets will be issued to candidates in those constituencies where there is no disagreement, while tickets will be issued in the remaining constituencies after the election schedule is announced.
