ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Payment for the installment of the financial assistance scheme in the Benazir Income Support Programme has begun, and payments are being made to deserving women.
According to the statement of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), the payments of this phase will start from May 18, 2026. This phase involves payments along with child allowances.
It was further stated that those deserving women whose wallet accounts got blocked on or before May 15, 2026, would be eligible to receive their money from the respective wallet account.
According to the statement of BISP, those deserving women who had not yet changed their wallet accounts would also be able to collect the money at the authorized payment camps or agents in their respective districts.
All deserving beneficiaries were instructed that they should carry their original documents while receiving payments and should not give any extra money to any unrelated person or agents. It was added that the priority of the BISP administration was the timely disbursement of payments to deserving beneficiaries.
On the contrary, it has become more convenient for the recipients of the Benazir Income Support Program to obtain their eligibility status and payment information.
The beneficiaries of the program can obtain their eligibility status and payment information through their CNIC number by using the 8171 website or SMS facility.
As per BISP, the quarterly installment in the Benazir Kafalat Program has been raised from Rs 13,500 to Rs 19,500.
For obtaining their payment amount information, the beneficiaries/families must visit the 8171 website, enter their 13-digit CNIC number, type the captcha code, and then verify their eligibility or press the corresponding button. After that, their eligibility status, payment amount, and other essential information will appear on the screen.
Those who do not have access to the internet can also get their information via the 8171 SMS service. This can be done by typing their CNIC number without a dash in the message window of their mobile phone and sending it to 8171, after which a response with regard to eligibility or payment will be sent to them.
