MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Syed Zeeshan Haider, has said that the nation salutes the brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force from the bottom of its heart.
He said that our forces have always made border integrity, national security, and protection of civilian lives their primary responsibility, and the nation has always stood by them.
He said that, unfortunately, our hospitality and kindness have been repeatedly responded to with hostility and aggression. Despite repeated requests, our words were deliberately ignored, especially on the issue of providing weapons, training, and equipment to terrorists through the use of Afghan soil.
We are paying the price of this every day in the form of our martyrs. Every day we salute our brave soldiers and martyrs by wrapping them in the national flag, but this trend cannot continue any longer.
In the Kurram Agency and other border areas, local tribal elders and citizens laid down their lives after the announcements in mosques and attended the checkpoints alongside the Pakistan Army.
This extraordinary spirit of the nation is a shining example of patriotism and complete solidarity with the Pakistani forces, which we deeply appreciate.
Pakistan clearly demands that the Afghan leadership not allow its territory to be used for the activities of any non-state armed group. Kabul should immediately end all support to the TTP and other terrorist elements; otherwise, effective and severe counterattacks will continue on their bases.
The recent operations of the Pakistan Air Force have caused heavy losses to the terrorists and their potential supporters, which is a clear message that Pakistan will not tolerate any concessions in the security of its borders and people.
Pakistan has always been a believer in peace, dialogue, and diplomacy. Reactivation of the Pak-Afghan dialogue is indispensable for lasting peace in the region.
However, it is also clear that talks are meaningful only when both sides respect each other’s security and sovereignty and take practical steps against non-state armed elements. We assure you that no lapse in defending the homeland will be tolerated, and every aggression will be responded to effectively.
The nation is requested to remain united, stay away from rumors and hateful propaganda, and maintain complete solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces. The nation’s greetings and prayers are sent to the brave soldiers in the control rooms, the ground and air forces.
