RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): The Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA) has notified a temporary diversion in metro bus operations in Lahore and Rawalpindi on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
PMA spokesperson informed on Wednesday that the Lahore Metrobus Service would remain suspended for the entire day in connection with security arrangements for Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and Urs of Hazrat Ali Hajveri (Data Ganj Bakhsh) in the Punjab capital.
PMA further disclosed that the Pakistan Metrobus System’s Rawalpindi stretch from Saddar and Faizabad will remain shut down for the entire day following Chehlum observances.
The PMA statement revealed, “Islamabad section of the Pakistan Metrobus System from IJP Road to Pak Secretariat will operate its routine service schedule”.
Meanwhile, the public has been advised by PMA to modify their travel plans accordingly to avert any inconvenience to the Metro users.
