MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Senior journalist and Kashmir Digital correspondent Raja Sajid, who was going to cover the general elections of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, was attacked and brutally tortured by armed members of the Awami Action Committee.
According to sources, Raja Sajid was on his way to carry out the responsibilities of election coverage when armed members of the Awam Action Committee surrounded him, abused him severely, abused him and threatened him with serious consequences.
Violence on journalist
During the violence, the attackers broke Raja Sajid’s mobile phone and also tried to throw it into the Neelum River. The journalistic community is expressing serious concern over this incident.
These members of the Awam Action Committee clearly warned the correspondent that if a complaint is filed anywhere about this incident or any action is attempted, he will be killed.
