LPG safety alert: Directorate warns of cylinder blast dangers

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Directorate of Industries and Commerce is taking significant steps to raise awareness about the dangers of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG).

According to the advisory, the low and high pressure of the gas in the cylinder leads to blasts, which can be highly dangerous to human lives.

Filling gas in the cylinder, which differs from the company, can be extremely harmful as it may lead to a potential explosion without anyone knowing, the advisory stated.

People are advised to buy the LPG cylinder from only certified dealers in the area, and not fill the gas from different companies.

People can contact the Deputy Chief Inspector or the Directorate of Industries and Commerce in case of any inconvenience.

Earlier, in a shocking turn of events, a massive cylinder explosion hit the Chhata Village of Neelum district, where a married woman identified as Aiman Mukhtiar suffered severe injuries.

According to the eyewitnesses, the blast was massive and destroyed the area surrounding it, injuring a total of nine individuals.

The rescue officials swifly reached the location and shited the injured to MDS hospitalJhimbar.

However, fortunately, eight of them just got minor scratches and were released shortly after getting the necessary medical treatment.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the importance of cylinder safety and proper handling.
