MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Kashmir Mor, located near Baloch Tehsil in the Sudhnoti district of Azad Kashmir and also known as “India Mor,” has been reopened to all types of traffic following a prolonged two-month closure.
It is worth noting that this vital road had been completely blocked or severely disrupted at various times due to sit-ins and protest marches organized by the banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), as well as the tense situation that had developed in the region.
According to reports, local roadblocks severely disrupted traffic flow on the alternative routes used by citizens traveling from Baloch, Sarsawa, and Kotli to Rawalpindi or Islamabad. This extended closure caused immense hardship for ordinary travelers—and particularly for the sick regarding their daily commutes.
A Welcome Development for Travelers
With the restoration of the road, the movement of all vehicles, large and small, has resumed, bringing a sense of relief to travelers and the local population after a period of significant distress.
Relevant authorities believe that the reopening of this key highway will normalize traffic flow and greatly facilitate travel for citizens.
